Family Sundays provide children and the adults in their lives the opportunity to take time from their busy lives to reconnect while talking about and making art together. New Projects are featured every week. All Family Sundays will draw inspiration from the current exhibition.

Drop into The Manes Education Center for hands-on activities inspired by our current exhibitions. Spend up to an hour exploring a range of materials, techniques, and themes before continuing out onto our lush grounds filled with trails, a sculpture park and gardens.
Our focus for tours is interactivity—helping visitors find personal and meaningful connections with works of art. Please discuss the following guidelines with your group before your visit, to ensure a positive experience.
When you arrive at the Museum you have two choices of where to park to start your museum adventure.
Option 1: Park in the first lot on your left as you drive up, this is our Manes Center (it has a bright mural spray painted on it).
Option 2: Continue up the road and park in the large parking lot on your left, then follow the brick path up to the Saltzman building (it’s the large brick mansion).
Check out our programs for families so see if something special is available the day you visit.
On Saturdays, you can visit The Manes Center for Studio Saturdays between 11:00 and 3:00.
On Sundays, there is a family friendly tour of the artwork at 1:00 pm in the Saltzman building followed by Family Sunday artmaking in the Manes Center between 1:30 and 4:00.
Any day you visit the Museum, you can ask for a Family Guide at our front desk to help you explore our artwork.
A vending café with snacks is located on the first floor. This is the spot where you can have snacks and drinks, no food or drink is allowed in the galleries.
Bathrooms in the Saltzman building are on the first and second floors.
You can bring a pencil and sketchbook if you want to draw in the galleries, but please no other art materials are allowed. This helps to keep our artwork safe!
If you want to explore outside, try to find our sculptures – we have over 30, or take a trail map and explore our forest.
